Book Group meeting (in-person/Zoom) - Wednesday 9/22 at 7PM
featuring book by member Peggy Turnbull
This St James Book Group plans to meet in the St James Fellowship Hall and via Zoom on Wednesday, September 22 at 7PM. Those gathering in-person should wear masks and spread out. Please feel free to join the conversation even if you have not had a chance to read the book. If you have technical difficulties Amma Diane Murray 920-860-5152 will try to help you with these.

The book being read and discussed this month is The Joy of Their Holiness by Peggy Turnbull. The book group will honored to have Peggy in person for the discussion. Peggy and her husband, Robert, live in Manitowoc, WI and are members of St James Episcopal Church.

Peggy Turnbull's Amazon biography includes: I'm a former academic librarian who lives in the city of her birth, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. After four decades away, during which I lived in and fell in love with several geographies, my husband and I moved to live near four generations of my family. I love literature, the Great Lakes, and wish I could live several lifetimes in order to learn all there is to know about the world, including geology, evolution, Spanish language and literature, and, especially, poetry."

Peggy's poems have been widely published in Ariel Chart, Writers Resist, Verse-Virtual, Solitary Plover, The Wisconsin Poets Calendar, Your Daily Poem, Hummingbird, and Bramble, and have appeared recently in Poetry Super Highway, Ancient Paths Online, and Contemporary Haibun Online. She won The Mill Prize for Poetry in 2019 and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

The Joy of Their Holiness, was published by Kelsay Books (July 9, 2020) and is available in paperback.

St James Weekly and email list timing
St James Weekly is included in two emails per week, and mailed once per week. When sharing information about projects, programs, and events please send the info as early as possible so we are able to promote over a longer period of time, when appropriate. (To help limit the burden on everybody’s inboxes, we intentionally send only two emails per week to our email list, unless there is a death or other urgent matter.)

Do you ever have trouble clicking our links?
For a variety of technical reasons, links in the emails we send may sometimes malfunction. These are often due to incompatible updates or security settings on various device, software, and web sites. If you click a link in our emails (or attached PDFs) and it doesn't work properly, type in the link manually. Open your web browser and type in the exact link (don't add www or anything else). Manually typing the link should always work properly. We use customized shorter URLs in the format "go.mysjec.com/_______" that make manually typing links easier than the longer URLs for most events. If you encounter a link that doesn't work when you type it in manually, please contact Tony (text, call, or email info@mysjec.com). Thanks!
We appreciate your feedback
Thank you to everybody who has taken the time to participate in our various opportunities to engage remotely for worship, sharing, learning, and connection. Until further notice we'll be maintaining our schedule on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as other special services and remote gatherings. Thank you for watching/listening! Thank you for commenting and engaging with each other! And thank you for liking and sharing our videos, Facebook page, and YouTube channel to help spread the word!

We appreciate your feedback about any of these new technologies we are implementing. If you had any technical issues or technical questions, please let us know. Please email your feedback and questions to info@mysjec.com
