Latest Developments

To help keep people healthy and to minimize the spread of the coronavirus NO in-person worship services, meetings or gatherings of St James congregation will be held until further notice. 

• The Vestry and many others are working to find alternatives ways we can worship and minister to one another and our neighbors in these uncertain times.
• Thanks to Dan Hornung for hosting our Call-in Friday Morning Prayer service. Last Friday's 1st service went very well.
• Mail at the church will be picked up regularly and phone messages will be answered on a regular basis. 
• Various people will make sure the building is secure and kept up.
• The Vestry put together a "Keep In Touch" call list.
• We are working on ways to provide Sunday services, including Holy Week and Easter, from a distance so that all can participate. Watch for more information.
• Updates are being sent to people via US Mail as well as our email list and web site.

As we join with others around the world to slow the spread of this pandemic may we all pray this prayer. A Prayer for Facing Uncertainty" from the New Zealand Prayer Book:
"God of the present moment, God who in Jesus stills the storm and soothes the frantic heart; bring hope and courage to us as we await in uncertainty. Bring hope that you will make us the equal of whatever lies ahead. Bring us courage to endure what cannot be avoided, for your will is health and wholeness; you are God, and we need you. AMEN."
